5 Facts About Me

5 facts about me

I’ve come to the realization that I post a lot of fashion related information on my blog, but not much about myself! I thought it would be fun to write a little “5 facts about me” post, to help you get to know me a little better!

I’m a vegan!

I was a vegetarian for 10 years, before I finally decided to commit all the way, and go vegan. It’s been almost a year now, and I’ve had a slip-up or two…but overall I am very happy with my commitment to sticking it out! I’m not the kind of vegan that will bite your head off if you even mention a hamburger. I don’t appreciate when others try to regulate what I eat, and don’t eat, and I would never want to do that to someone else.

I have a cat named Elsa, and she’s the love of my life (sorry Brad).

I adopted Elsa 3.5 years ago (oh my gosh, time is flying), and it was the best decision of my life. She was a tiny, angry, fearful ball of fluff when I first found her in my local shelter. She’s grown to be such a sweet, loving kitty that’s always by my side! I’m not ashamed to be called a cat mom, or crazy cat lady.

I graduated college with my bachelor’s degree in political science.

I’ve always been very interested in politics, government, and the history of our country. I switched my major to poly sci at the end of my junior year (and took an extra year to graduate because of it, oops), and am so glad that I did! Being active, and informed is so extremely important, because politics shape our lives every day!

I’m a twin!

My twin sister Aly (who’s about 2.5 minutes older than me), are fraternal. We always wanted to be identical so we could switch places in school, and fool our teachers! Mary Kate & Ashley were our idols! We look very very different, when we were in school, some people didn’t even believe we were sisters! The fact that I’m about 3 inches taller than her didn’t help. She lives just outside Dallas, Texas now!

I’ve dislocated both of my knee caps!

Gross I know, but it’s the only real injury I’ve ever had! Growing up, I was always involved in dance & cheer, and that took it’s toll on my knees. The summer before my senior year of high school I dislocated my kneecap at cheer camp, for the first time! My freshman year of college I dislocated my other kneecap. I went on to dislocate it again during my sophomore & junior years of college too. Thankfully it hasn’t happened since then! *knock on wood*

I hope you enjoyed those quick facts about me! Now feel free to tell me a little about yourself!
