A few weeks ago, I realized that I wear a lot of jeans. Like, if I’m not wearing a dress or a skirt, I’m probably in jeans. Now there’s nothing wrong with jeans, they come in so many different colors, washes, styles…you can find a pair of jeans to look good with almost every outfit! Most of the non-jean pants I have are more on the professional side, and don’t get worn all that often. I decided to challenge myself to find some cute pants that I could wear on the daily!
I ended up at Nordstrom (surprise, surprise), and was drawn to these striped pants right away. A vertical stripe, and a cropped, ruffle hem? Yes please. Sometimes pants are a just a tiny bit too short for me, so a cropped hem generally works much better for me. These hit in the perfect spot, just above my ankle! Plus, how cute is that little ruffle? I’m obsessed. I got these pants in a size medium, and overall they fit properly. They are a little big in the waist, but they fit nicely on my legs/butt/hips, so I was willing to compromise.
I paired these pants with a simple, cropped knit tank top. I chose a white one, but most colors would look great with these pants! For shoes, I wore my favorite lavender slides, with the cutest bow detail! I wore a pair of white statement earrings to accessorize. Most of the exciting details of the outfit (the ruffle, and the bow slides) were on the bottom, so I wanted to even it out a little with the earrings. I also grabbed some silver sunglasses, because it has been so beautiful and sunny out recently!
