We all have those days where putting together an outfit just isn’t going to happen. This is when I like to pull out one of my easy go-to outfits. I like to start out with basic pieces, and then add a fun accessory to make it a little more unique. One of my go-to summer outfits is a simple tank top, and boyfriend jeans. It’s the perfect thing to slip into for errands, or a relaxing day of sight-seeing.
Accessorizing is so important when wearing a basic outfit. In this case, I picked one of my favorite pairs of sandals, and a chunky chain bracelet. These sandals wrap around your ankles a couple of times, and feature a fun print. They were the perfect accessory to dress up this outfit, because they worked well with the casual vibe. I kept the accessories simple, so they didn’t overwhelm the rest of the outfit.
The tank top I am wearing in these pictures is probably my favorite tank I have ever owned. James Perse may be a little on the pricy side, but it is 100% worth it! I can’t tell you how many plain t shirts and tanks I’ve bought for $10, and ended up tossing a year or so later. This James Perse tank has lasted me through high school, college, and now into my adult life. It’s comfortable, soft, and doesn’t even show signs of wear. No one does basics like James Perse. They are perfect for a casual summer outfit!
My jeans are by Treasure & Bond, which is a Nordstrom Product Group brand. I have two pairs of Treasure & Bond jeans, and they are both boyfriend style. They are some of my favorite boyfriend style jeans, because they are so comfortable, and easy to break in! I love boyfriend style jeans. They are a great alternative to skinny jeans, and are perfect for a relaxed, casual look.
