Happy weekend guys! I hope you are all enjoying the first weekend in August. I had a great day relaxing by the pool with one of my best friends yesterday, and today my mom is driving over to visit Brad & I for the week! She lives about five hours away, so it’s always awesome to have her close by for a little while. When we’re together we’re always super active. I love teaching her new workouts, and getting her to try different exercises that are out of her comfort zone! She’s been getting into strength training a lot lately, which is so awesome! This past week I’ve been testing out some activewear, and protein shakes by IdealFit! Here are some pictures of the pieces, reviews will follow below!
Idealfit is an awesome activewear, supplement, basically all things fitness retailer, designed specifically for women! They were so kind to send me over a couple items to try out, so here are my honest opinions of the products! Spoiler alert: I love them!
My absolute favorite piece of activewear I tried was the IdealFit Four Way Stretch Shorts. I want to wear these all day, every day. They’re incredibly comfortable, and don’t ride up or move around when you’re working out! There’s nothing worse than having to adjust your shorts during an intense workout, am I right?! I wore them on a jog, as well as during a strength training workout, and they were great for both! They have a higher slit on the side, allowing your legs to move freely, without any bunching up! They aren’t lined at all, which I actually love. I’ve always found that the lining in workout shorts never fits quite right. I’ve even cut it out of shorts before! If no lining bothers you, you might want to pair them with some spandex, or the IdealFit Core Training Shorts! I’m always on the hunt for cute workout clothing, so I loved these hot pink shorts right away! They also come in black, if that’s more your style!
I’m sort of a skeptic when it comes to most sports bras. As someone with a larger chest (I wear a 34DDD), most sports bras are hopelessly useless for me. They’re either too large around my rib cage, or too small around my boobs. Don’t even get me started on the lack of support they usually provide. Note to sports bra companies: some of us actually need a little support, and don’t just want a cute bra to wear under our workout tanks! I tried out the IdealFit Crop Top Crossback Bra, and I was blown away! For starters, it has a high neck! This is absolutely essential to me. Anything with a lower neckline means it’s going to be a cute sports bra that I lounge around the house in. Definitely not something I’ll be doing high knees in anytime soon. I got a medium, and it fit me quite well. The band was slightly too big around my ribcage, but just barely. It held me in great through my jog, and my strength training workout! This is actually listed as light to medium support on their website, but I felt very supported by it! Possibly because my boobs were packed down pretty tightly, but I’m not complaining! Oh, and I almost forgot to mention, it has the cutest criss cross back!
We had a couple of cooler days here in Seattle this past week, which was perfect for trying out the IdealFit Superlite Pullover Hoodie! I wore this on my jog, and on a leisurely walk around my neighborhood. Before I say anything else about this hoodie, let me just tell you…it has POCKETS. I loved the feel of this hoodie. It was lightweight, but still kept me toasty warm. The silhouette is also very flattering. It fits close to your figure, so it isn’t big and bulky. The black panels down the front are also very flattering, and are a nice touch! This is also the first activewear style hoodie I own. I didn’t really understand the appeal before, but I definitely get it now!
The fun doesn’t stop here…I also had a chance to try some of IdealFit’s line of Vegan protein powders! The line is called IdealRaw! I’ve tried several protein powders in the past, but hadn’t found one that I was a huge fan of yet. Chalky consistencies, bad aftertaste, just bad taste in general…the list goes on. This protein powder has literally none of the bad qualities that I hate in other protein powders. None of them! The taste is extremely good, they’re easy to drink because the consistency is great, and the after taste is very minimal, if noticeable at all! My favorites were Mocha, and Chocolate Peanut Butter. This is one product that I can say 100% I will be purchasing!
