Hi everyone! I’m back from Japan, and have plenty of fun blog posts planned out for the rest of this month! Trying to make up a little for my absence the past 12 or so days. Onto the real topic of this post…my plaid booties! I saw these in the calendar of the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, and fell in LOVE. They were one of the first things I purchased during the sale, and I am so so happy I did! They’re definitely a unique piece that adds some fun to any outfit you pair them with!
Fit
As always, I ordered these booties in an 8.5. In other shoes I wear a size 8, but I always go up half a size in boots & booties! I want to make sure they’re going to be as comfortable as possible, especially if I need to wear some thick fuzzy socks in the winter. I would say they fit true to size!
Styling
I’ve only worn these shoes a handful of times, because it hasn’t been quite cool enough yet, so I am excited to see how I can style them once in cools down! For the outfit pictured here, I let the booties be the focal piece. I’m wearing an olive green faux suede skirt, and a chunky grey sweater paired with a black leather jacket! This look would be super basic on it’s own, so the booties give it a little something extra! I also love how they look with color, I wore them with black jeans and a bright yellow sweater (check it out on my instagram), and loved how they looked!
