Yesterday, I had the pleasure of visiting the Clinique counter at Nordstrom Bellevue! I met with Brooke, who gave me a fun, glowing spring makeover! She also gave me the run down on some of the upcoming spring trends in beauty. I will link all of the products she used on me below!
Focus on the Face
The main trend Brooke spoke of was focusing on the face. This mean shifting the focus away from a dramatic eye, or lip. For my face, she used the Beyond Perfecting foundation in the color Alabaster, and the Stay Neutral Pressed Powder. To give my skin a natural, rosy glow, she used a blush called Heather Pop, and a highlight called Aglow Blush. For a neutral lip look, she lined my lips with the Intense Blush Lipliner, and added the Pinot Pop Splash lip gloss!
Contouring With a Dark Blush
One of the ways Brooke created the “focused on the face” look, was my contouring my cheekbones with a dark blush, instead of a bronzer! This was a new concept for me, and I love how it turned out! It gave my skin a natural, rosy glow, and defined my cheekbones quite well! For this contour, she used a cheek pop in the color Cola Pop.
Pink Eyeshadow
While pink eyeshadow has been sort of a taboo in the past, Brooke started off my eyes with the Bountiful Beige chubby stick, and then applied a soft pink shadow with a hint of gold shimmer called Petal Pop to my lids. It was such a pretty spring shade. She finished off my eyes with a liner called Intense Clove along the top lid, and halfway along the bottom. This really opened up my eyes in a subtle way!
