Happy September 1st everyone! Now I realize that Fall doesn’t actually begin until September 22nd, but as soon as September hits, it’s Fall in my book! Here in Seattle it’s already cooling down quite a bit. I’ve also noticed some leaves beginning to turn, and fall! So bring on the Halloween decorations, the Bath & Body Works candles, and all the pumpkin spice! I am ready for Fall!
A few days ago, I did a fun photoshoot with the lovely Maleah Metz! She’s a local photographer who is extremely talented, and such a joy to work with! Plus she loves Harry Potter, like me! The photos turned out great, and I would highly highly highly recommend checking her out if you are in need of a photographer!
Ok, on to the outfit! This was one of my favorites from the shoot! I found these jeans on clearance at Nordstrom Rack earlier in the week! (Check out my Nordstrom Rack 101 blog post for some tips on how to find the best deals) They are my first pair of Good American jeans, and I am really pleased with the fit, and the style. For starters, they’re high waisted which I am all about right now. The distressing on the front is just enough for my taste, and the fit is so so comfortable! I am typically a size 27 or 28, and I am wearing a 28 in these jeans. They are just a tiny bit loose in the waist, but they fit great in the legs and butt (you just can’t win them all, right?)! I think I bought them for around $50, so it was a great great great deal for a pair of premium denim! Because these jeans were on the “From Our Nordstrom Stores” rack, I was unable to locate them on the Rack’s website. They were most likely returned at a Nordstrom, and sent to the Rack. I’ve linked some similar jeans, but I definitely recommend going in store, and looking through the “From Our Nordstrom Stores” racks. This is where you’ll find some of the best deals on the best quality clothing!
My top is just a striped long sleeve tee from BP. The exact tee is almost sold out, so I linked a couple other options for you! I love a lightweight tee like this one during the Fall, because they are perfect for layering! It was perfect with my olive green utility jacket! Once again, this jacket is almost sold out so I linked a couple similar options as well! I love an olive utility jacket in the Fall, it’s definitely one of my staple pieces!
Finally my shoes and hat are also from Nordstrom (yes I know, I’m a Nordstrom addict). A black felt hat is another Fall wardrobe staple. Didn’t wash your hair? Throw on your hat. Outfit looking a little too plain? Add a hat! You’ll be wearing it much more often that you realize! Moving on to the shoes, they are one of my go to pairs right now! I love the color, and the block heel makes them nice and comfortable to walk in! I’ve linked them, as well as a couple less expensive options!
